FastComet was acquired by World Host Group (WHG) on April 24, 2025 — ending 12 years of independent, founder-led operation. FastComet continues to operate under its own brand with Georgi Yanev remaining as CEO.
Renewal pricing can reach up to 5× the introductory promotional rate in the most extreme cases (one Trustpilot reviewer reported a jump from $21/year to $135/year on a domain/hosting bundle). FastComet's support team has in documented cases offered discretionary refunds even beyond the 45-day window.
FastComet's uptime SLA credit structure pays 10% of the monthly fee per hour of downtime, up to 100% of one month's payment — one of the more generous credit models in shared hosting, but capped at one month.
Independent 30-day UptimeRobot testing by HostAdvice produced a measured uptime of 87.2% on a specific account — a significant deviation from the 99.9% guarantee. This is an outlier result and not representative of the majority of user experiences, but should be noted.
Renewal pricing can be up to 5× the introductory rate — this is not hypothetical. A documented Trustpilot complaint (preserved with FastComet's public response) shows a customer moving from $21/year to $135/year at renewal on the same hosting + domain combination. FastComet's official response acknowledged the pricing model and did not dispute the figure. Their stated position: introductory prices are promotional and regular rates reflect the actual cost of infrastructure. In documented cases, FastComet has offered discretionary renewal adjustments when customers escalate via live chat.
Auto-renew is enabled by default and the cancellation window matters. At least one Trustpilot reviewer reported turning off auto-renew one week before the renewal date — and being charged anyway, with a refusal of refund citing internal policy. FastComet's response was to offer a goodwill refund but clarified no legal obligation to do so. Disable auto-renew well in advance (30+ days) and confirm via the client area.
Refund on VPS and Dedicated plans is only 7 days — not 45 days. The prominent 45-day guarantee headline applies only to shared hosting. VPS and dedicated server buyers have 7 days. This distinction is not prominently disclosed in pricing comparison tables on the main website.
