Comodo's rating Trusted Provider

We rate features of services on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest rating and 5 being the highest rating. We also take into account the opinions of other users when rating features. We read user reviews and feedback to get a sense of how other people are using the features and what they think of them.

Generally dependable with mostly positive trust signals. Clear policies, stable performance, and support that usually resolves common issues.

Features
3.7 /5 Good

A practical, modern feature bundle is usually available. Many plans from Comodo include SSL, email, a control panel (e.g., cPanel), and backups. Advanced options—such as staging, premium backup policies, or stronger security—may be reserved for higher tiers, but the overall package supports everyday production use. We also value features that protect performance during traffic spikes (caching, resource isolation, CDN/WAF options).

Reliability
3.7 /5 Mostly credible

Stability is generally solid for most websites. A credible operating history and mostly positive trust signals often support Comodo. Monitoring commonly confirms strong performance consistency: uptime typically in the 99.95%–99.99% range, stable in-region TTFB (often p50 ≤ 400ms, p95 ≤ 900ms), and stress/load tests completing with low error rates (typically ≤ 1%) and controlled response-time increases. Issues may occur, but patterns do not suggest ongoing instability.

User Experience
3.8 /5 Good

Most users will find the platform fairly easy to use. With Comodo, the control panel is typically stable and familiar, and key features are reasonably easy to locate. Some friction may remain (hidden settings, upsell prompts), but common tasks are manageable with basic tutorials and support. Clear usage/performance dashboards (CPU/RAM/IO) improve the overall experience.

Support
3.2 /5 Good

Support is generally dependable for everyday needs. Many providers like Comodo offer multiple channels (often chat + tickets), reasonable response times, and staff who can solve common problems. Complex cases may be escalated, but follow-up tends to be consistent. Typical targets: chat 2–10 minutes first response, ticket/email 1–4 hours first response, and most common issues resolved within 24 hours.

Pricing
3.4 /5 Affordable

Overall value is usually good for the target market. Many plans from Comodo offer meaningful intro discounts, renewals that remain reasonable, and mostly transparent pricing. Some extras may cost more (premium backups, advanced security), but the cost structure is generally easy to understand.

Promotions
3.5 /5 Good discount

Discounts are usually practical and easy to apply. For Comodo, promotions and sale prices are commonly visible, conditions are mostly clear, and checkout is generally reliable. Some deals may require longer terms or apply only to first-time customers, but savings are typically meaningful.

Other Factors
3.4 /5 Good

Policies are mostly clear and fair, with only minor limitations. Many users find that Comodo states billing rules, renewals, and refund exclusions in a reasonably transparent way. Operational communication is acceptable. Some strict clauses or upsell language may exist, but terms are generally consistent.

TLDR, if you uninstall comodo and can't get internet, go to the adapter properties and uninstall the network driver for comodo in there where the ipv4 / dns IP settings area is. It's there, if you can't find it look for how to set dns via adapter settings and you'll find the comodo thing near that to delete to get everything working again.Hips will lock and freeze the pc, this needs and auto passthrough, log the event but holy damn don't add hips instantly to the install, it'll bog down the pc and stop it responding, i need to entirely boot comodo just to run windows again. In all it could be nice but damn it's like letting a virus onto your pc with such extreme settings that destroy the PCs ability to even be used. If you ever install the app drop hips instantly and just use it as a firewall.Oddly firewall should only control connections not internal apps thats what the virus defender is for mate so please remove such an overpowered amd damaging system from killing PC's. In the end i needed to boot linix to wipe this crap off my pc

It's not a good antivirus. It's entirely containment-based and hard to use. When opening my browser it shows 10 popups. The valkyrie system is pretty cool but barely ever works.

I purchased an SSL in a hurry, obtained the certificate with no issues and all working OK. However, after downloading the invoice I noticed that they had stuck on a $4.99 SiteLock Scanner monthly subscription without my knowledge. It turns out that they add this on the page where you enter the billing information and if you don't see it (which I didn't) it gets added automatically. I contacted support immediately and they point blank refused to remove and refund this subscription. The cost is not high but adding products in this manner is in my view very bad practice. I don't mind being offered extra products but I should have to choose to add them, not the other way around.EDIT:After seeing my post the company finally relented and refunded the subscription money and so I have upgraded them to 3 stars. The SSL install was fine and works as it should.

their .cert files are garbage. Their service is zero. And their online help text is full of unwarranted humor. Let me tell you one thing about humor: Humor needs good timing. Without timing it is annoying and insulting to the users who have a deadline to meet and are under pressure to deliver. Don't need to read your humor paragraphs before I get to your other garbage help.
