How We Review & Score

To help readers compare hosting services consistently, TrusthostReview developed its own evaluation framework — combining real-world testing with objective, data-driven insights.

Testing scope varies depending on the provider and the plans we were able to access, so there may be features or configurations we didn't get to cover. When we reference third-party benchmarks or user-reported data, we treat them as supporting signals and weigh them alongside our own findings. Additionally, user reviews we collect are factored in alongside expert assessments, though with appropriate consideration of their nature.

Performance & Reliability

To get a more accurate picture of real-world performance, we measure Time To First Byte (TTFB) and other response-time indicators across multiple checks and varying time windows — helping us smooth out any outliers or one-off spikes that could otherwise skew the results.

Uptime & stability testing

We track uptime over time where possible, while also factoring in outage history, SLA terms, and broader signals of service reliability.

Performance testing (inc. TTFB)

We measure Time To First Byte (TTFB) and related response-time indicators across multiple checks and time windows to reduce “one-off” test bias.

Support quality

We evaluate support via available channels focusing on response time, technical accuracy, resolution quality, escalation handling, and supported languages.

Value & Transparency

Business ethics, pricing integrity, and community sentiment analysis.

Refunds, policies & legal terms

We review refund windows, exclusions, renewal and cancellation terms, and the clarity of the Provider’s Terms/Privacy documents, including any notable legal or compliance constraints.

Pricing transparency & value

We compare introductory pricing vs. renewal pricing, billing cycles, add-on/hidden fees, coupon terms, and whether the real-world value matches the advertised offer.

Company transparency

We consider how clearly a Provider presents verifiable business information such as legal entity name, headquarters address, phone number, and official contact channels.

User sentiment across platforms

When available, we consult aggregated user feedback from multiple independent platforms and communities. This input is used as a supporting signal and does not replace hands-on testing.

Updates and changes

The hosting industry moves fast, and our reviews reflect that. We revisit and update our assessments whenever something significant changes — whether that's a pricing adjustment, renewal policy shift, major feature update, infrastructure overhaul, change in ownership, or a notable trend in user feedback.

On the pricing side specifically, any changes to plan inclusions, refund terms, or support scope will prompt a closer look at our "Pricing/Value" section. If the change meaningfully affects what users can realistically expect, we'll revise the scores and rankings accordingly.

We recommend that you confirm current pricing and terms on the Provider’s official website before purchasing.
