DDoS-GUARD's rating Top-Tier Provider

We rate features of services on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest rating and 5 being the highest rating. We also take into account the opinions of other users when rating features. We read user reviews and feedback to get a sense of how other people are using the features and what they think of them.

Strong reputation and consistent customer trust. Mature operations, transparent terms, and reliable support—well-suited for business-critical hosting.

Features
4 /5 Good

A practical, modern feature bundle is usually available. Many plans from DDoS-GUARD include SSL, email, a control panel (e.g., cPanel), and backups. Advanced options—such as staging, premium backup policies, or stronger security—may be reserved for higher tiers, but the overall package supports everyday production use. We also value features that protect performance during traffic spikes (caching, resource isolation, CDN/WAF options).

Reliability
4.5 /5 Trustworthy

High reliability is supported by measurable results and mature operations. With DDoS-GUARD, we commonly expect sustained uptime at ≥ 99.99%, fast and stable in-region TTFB (often p50 ≤ 200ms and p95 ≤ 500ms), and resilient load behavior (very low error rate, commonly ≤ 0.1%, no crashes, and fast recovery). When incidents happen, communication and remediation are typically timely and professional.

User Experience
3.8 /5 Good

Most users will find the platform fairly easy to use. With DDoS-GUARD, the control panel is typically stable and familiar, and key features are reasonably easy to locate. Some friction may remain (hidden settings, upsell prompts), but common tasks are manageable with basic tutorials and support. Clear usage/performance dashboards (CPU/RAM/IO) improve the overall experience.

Support
4.2 /5 Excellent

Support is consistently responsive and capable. With DDoS-GUARD, help is commonly available 24/7 via live chat and tickets (sometimes phone). Replies are fast, answers are clear, and issues are handled end-to-end. Documentation and incident communication are usually strong. In measurement-based checks, chat first response is often ≤ 2 minutes, ticket/email first response ≤ 60 minutes, and most common issues are resolved within 12–24 hours.

Pricing
3.5 /5 Affordable

Overall value is usually good for the target market. Many plans from DDoS-GUARD offer meaningful intro discounts, renewals that remain reasonable, and mostly transparent pricing. Some extras may cost more (premium backups, advanced security), but the cost structure is generally easy to understand.

Promotions
2.5 /5 Average coupon

Promotions exist, but they often change and require careful reading. Many users can find decent savings with DDoS-GUARD, though deals may apply only to certain plans or billing terms. Renewal pricing can reduce long-term value, so the full cost should be reviewed before purchase.

Other Factors
4 /5 Good

Policies are mostly clear and fair, with only minor limitations. Many users find that DDoS-GUARD states billing rules, renewals, and refund exclusions in a reasonably transparent way. Operational communication is acceptable. Some strict clauses or upsell language may exist, but terms are generally consistent.

Like many others, I wrote both to abuse@ ddos-guard.net and from their online form at ddos-guard .net/en/abuse about two pages in a website they host that are both a matter of copyright infringement (because they display videos that I created) and privacy (because I appear in said videos). DDoS-Guard don't reply, don't act...they don't even send you an automated message telling you they're taking care of the matter and giving you a ticket number. It's worse than that: they themselves know that emails received at those contacts are treated like trash by DDoS-Guard, as the agents in the live chat, even after many days, tell you that their best recommendation is to just write to abuse@ ddos-guard.net over and over again, completely disregarding your past reports.

UPDATE - 2 August 2024 So, immediately after my justifiably negative review, the only "update" I got was them blocking my IP and the domain of my emails (it's a personal domain), so as not to be "bothered" anymore with notifications of criminal activity in their websites. What I find even less professional was that they blocked my IP from accessing the infringing site, in a really childish and laughable attempt to make me think that they took down the whole site and that the issue was over.
